A high-speed ferry service connecting Da Nang city with Ly Son island off coast the central province of Quang Ngai was launched on March 29 by Phu Quoc Express JSC.
The company’s ferry named Trung Trac can carry nearly 600 passengers and help shorten the travel time from 4 hours to over 2 hours.
The ship is considered the biggest and fastest passenger vessel in Vietnam with a capacity of 600 people and a maximum speed of 35 nautical miles per hour, thus reduces the travel time between Da Nang and Ly Son island to two hours. With high speed catamaran and its quiet and stable deck, Trung Trac is expected to serve customers with highest safety standards, 5-star on-board service and optimal speed at reasonable price.
It is the largest two-body high-speed boat in Vietnam that is 47m long, 12m wide, and with the capacity of 598 passengers. The speedboat is equipped with four Roll – Royce MTU machines that can reach the maximum speed of 35 sea miles/hour (equivalent to 60km/hour). With this speed, it only takes two hours from Da Nang to Ly Son Island and vice versa.
Accompanying with Ly Son Express, passengers will have the opportunity to experience 5-star oriented service on each ferry, a team of attentive, dedicated and professional flight attendants in service.
After being put into operation, the high-speed boat route Da Nang – Ly Son of Phu Quoc Express will shorten the travel time to about 2 hours 30 minutes, creating favorable conditions in terms of time as well as ensuring the health of the passengers.
